Why we exist

Most automations fail quietly. Ours are built to fail loudly and safely.

A workflow that works for a week and then double-charges a customer is worse than no workflow at all. We build against that.

Automation sells easily and delivers unevenly. A sync silently drops records when a platform throttles it. A webhook arrives twice and creates two invoices. A bot answers confidently and wrongly. These are not exotic bugs. They are the ordinary failure modes of connecting systems, and they are predictable.

So we design for them from the first line: events that are verified and recognized when repeated, limits that are planned for rather than discovered, and a log that tells you exactly what happened. When something does go wrong, you hear about it from the automation, not from an angry customer.

Overpromising is easy. We would rather tell you what a platform cannot do, and be right.
How we work

Nine principles behind every build.

These are the rules we apply to every order, from a $250 single route to a multi-system custom project.

Say the limits out loud

Every service page states what the automation can and cannot do, with the platform limits that apply.

Least access, always

We ask for the narrowest permission that works and we never ask for passwords in a message. Login details and keys go only through your secure customer dashboard.

Fixed prices

Packages from $250 to $7,120, shown before you commit. Custom work is quoted in writing first.

Test before trust

Sandbox first, sample records next, live data last, with your approval at each step.

Hand over properly

You get a document that lets someone else maintain what we built, so you are never locked in.

Reply fast, any day

A person answers every message within 24 hours, including weekends and holidays.

Design for repeats

Every event can arrive twice or late. We build so a repeat changes nothing.

Plain language

No jargon in quotes, handover documents or replies. If we use a term, we define it.

Written down

Scope, price, access and assumptions are written down, so nobody has to remember a conversation.

What we do

From a single route to a full build.

Four activities make up every order. Open each tab to see what it involves and what you receive.

We connect your platforms through their official interfaces and add the logic that makes the connection safe: matching records, retries, ordering, rate limits and error handling.

  • Official APIs, webhooks and supported connectors
  • Field mapping you can read and change
  • Duplicate protection on every event
  • Logging that explains what happened
Who we work with

Teams that want it done properly.

Our clients range from solo founders to operations teams and agencies. What they share is a repeated task that costs more than it should.

Founders and owners

Orders, leads and invoices handled without you copying data between tabs.

Operations teams

Handoffs, approvals and status updates that move on their own, with alerts when they stall.

Agencies and consultants

Reliable builds you can deliver to your clients, with documentation they can keep.

Online stores

Orders, stock, shipping and customer messages kept in sync across the tools you sell with.

Finance and admin

Payments, receipts and records reconciled between systems, with a trail for your accountant.

Support and sales teams

Tickets, leads and follow-ups routed to the right person with the right context.

The difference

Fixed-price automation vs doing it yourself or hiring freelancers.

Each route can be the right one. This is how they compare on the things that usually go wrong.

About FAQ

Questions about BoldBellows.

The things people ask before deciding to work with a small studio.

Who runs BoldBellows?

BoldBellows was founded by Steven Grrat and is run as a founder-led studio. The legal entity behind the brand is Sunglasses Cent LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, which is the party named in our terms and on your receipts. The people who read your messages and build your automations work directly with the founder, so questions about scope or quality go to someone who can actually decide.

Where are you based?

Our company is a Delaware LLC, and we work with clients all over the world. Because the work is done online and messages are answered every day of the year, your location rarely matters. Prices are in US dollars, replies come within 24 hours, and you can tell us your time zone on the quote form so we reach you during your working hours.

Do you work every day?

Yes. We receive and answer messages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and work continues through weekends and public holidays. The one exception is how delivery windows are counted: they are stated in business days, Monday to Friday, so that a promise of ten days means ten working days and not a calendar guess. You are never waiting on a weekend for a reply.

Why do you list what an automation cannot do?

Because the limits decide whether an automation will still be working in six months. Every platform has rate limits, size limits, retry behavior and plan restrictions, and an honest design starts from those. If we hide them, the surprise simply moves to after you have paid. Stating the limits up front lets you choose a different approach, a higher plan, or a smaller scope before any money changes hands.

Are you partners of the platforms you automate?

No. BoldBellows is independent of Stripe, Notion, Google, HubSpot and every other platform we connect, and all product names and trademarks belong to their owners. Independence is useful to you: we recommend what works rather than what a partner program rewards, and we describe each platform’s limits as its own documentation states them, including the awkward ones.

Can I see your work?

We do not publish client names, screenshots or data without written permission, because automations often touch private business information. What we can show you is what clients say in their own words on the testimonials page, the detailed guides in our resources and the exact scope, price and delivery window on every service page. If you want to know how a similar job went, ask us and we will tell you what we can share.

How do you decide what to build?

We start from the platforms’ documented behavior, your brief and your plan limits, then choose the lightest design that will be reliable. That can mean a simple one-way sync, a queue to protect a rate limit, or a nightly reconciliation to catch what slips through. If something you ask for will not be dependable on your plan, we say so plainly and propose an alternative instead of building something fragile.

Do you offer a guarantee?

Every build includes two revision rounds and 30 days of free corrections after delivery, so anything that does not match the accepted scope is fixed at no charge. We do not guarantee business results such as revenue or time saved, because those depend on your systems, your data and your team. What we do commit to is a written scope, a fixed price, honest limits and a reply within 24 hours.

How do I start?

Browse the catalog and order a fixed-price service, or send a quote request if your setup is custom. You can also compare every package on the pricing page. A person replies within 24 hours with either a confirmation or a written quote. Nothing is charged until you approve a price, and a full refund is available any time before work starts.
