Basic Care: affordable automation monitoring for small businesses.
You built automations so you could stop doing things by hand. Basic Care makes sure you hear about a broken one from us, within 24 hours, instead of from a customer who never got their email, invoice or order.
From hoping it works to knowing it does.
Small teams do not have someone whose job is to watch the automations. Basic Care is that someone.
A quiet failure on a busy week
- The lead form stopped saving rows and nobody saw
- You find on Monday what broke on Friday
- A plugin update waits for months because no one owns it
A heartbeat that notices the gap
- Each automation reports in, so a quiet one is spotted within hours
- Our team is alerted with the step and the cause
- A weekly list shows exactly which updates are waiting
A typical month on Basic Care.
Quiet weeks are the goal. Here is what happens behind the scenes either way.
Monday: the update sweep
We scan your site or store for pending updates and security notices and note them for you.
All week: listening
Each alert from your five automations lands with our team. Most are noise we clear, a few need action.
When something breaks
You get a short message naming the automation, the step that failed and what we did or what we need from you.
Billing day: your letter
A concise report arrives by email covering the cycle that just ended.
Basic Care: everything included, one monthly price.
Every inclusion in one place: what is watched, how fast we respond, what repairs are covered and what you receive each month.

Six things Basic Care keeps an eye on.
The essentials a small business needs covered, nothing it does not.
Failure alerts
The moment an automation errors out we get the step, the reason and the fix.
Missed-run checks
A quiet automation is as serious as a failed one, and we notice both.
Store and site watcher
A read-only plugin or app reports checkout errors, PHP errors and expiring certificates.
Connection health
Expired logins are the biggest silent killer, and we catch them early.
Update sweeps
A weekly list of what needs updating, so nothing ages in the dark.
Safe by design
Status and error text only, never your customer records.
Someone is always listening for trouble.
Small businesses rarely have a person whose job is to check whether the automations still run. This plan is that person, at a price that fits a small budget.
- A heartbeat for every automationEach automation reports in when it runs. If one goes quiet, we notice the gap, not just the error.
- A bell that rings for us firstFailures reach our team the moment they happen, with the step and the reason attached.
- A report that closes the loopAt the end of each billing cycle you get a short letter about what ran and what we touched.
The letter at the end of your cycle.
Short enough to read over coffee, with the numbers that matter.
A message you can act on in thirty seconds.
This is what Basic Care sends when a form-to-spreadsheet automation fails: the step, the cause and the fix, and nothing from your customers.
Step: Add row
What happened: the spreadsheet app refused the request because the connection expired
What to do: reconnect the spreadsheet account, then replay the 2 missed rows
First seen: 02:14 · Runs affected: 2 · Customer data in this alert: none
Three small things to begin.
We can usually start watching within a few days of receiving them.
- Your five most important automationsTell us which five matter most. Those get alerts first, and you can swap one out any time.
- A login we can useRead-only wherever the platform allows it, shared through the secure vault in your dashboard.
- An email we can reachOne address for alerts that need your answer.
What stays outside Basic Care.
Knowing the limits now saves an awkward conversation later.
- Faster repliesBasic Care replies within 24 hours. Choose Standard Care for 12 hours or Premium Care for 6 hours if speed matters more.
- Small changes and new featuresThis plan keeps things healthy. It does not add behavior to your automations.
- Applying every update for youOn Basic Care we flag updates and you decide. Standard Care applies them after a backup check.
Is this the right fit?
If any of these sound like you, Basic Care is a sensible place to begin.
Solo owners and small teams
You run a handful of automations that feed your store, inbox or books, and no one has time to check them.
Businesses that just launched automations
The first months are when logins expire and apps change. A watcher catches those early.

- Your letter follows your billing dayThe report lands on the same day each month, covering the cycle just ended.
Answers about Basic Care.
Prices, limits and what one hour of repair time buys. For the wider picture, see the main care plans page.
How much does basic automation monitoring cost?
Basic Care is $149 per month for up to five monitored automations and one website or store watcher, billed monthly with no contract.
Can you monitor my Zapier or Make automations if they stop running?
Yes. Each automation gets an alert for errors and a check for missed runs, so a quiet Zapier zap or Make scenario is noticed even when no error is raised.
Will I know when my Shopify app or WordPress plugin needs an update?
Yes. The watcher lists pending updates every week, and we tell you which ones matter before you apply them.
What does one hour of repair time actually cover?
Typical jobs: reconnecting an expired login, fixing a broken step after an app changed, or replaying a few failed runs. We ask before spending more than the hour.
How is Basic Care different from a project warranty?
A warranty covers defects in something we built, for a set period. Basic Care watches everything on your list, including automations other people built.
Do I need to give you my passwords?
No passwords by email or chat. Access goes through the secure vault in your client dashboard, read-only where possible, and you can revoke it any time.
What if I need more than five automations covered?
Move to Standard Care for fifteen, or ask us for a custom plan. Changing plans takes effect on your next billing date.
Is the monthly report really worth reading?
It is one screen: what ran, what broke, what we did, and what needs you. If nothing happened, the report says so in two lines.
