Amazon Seller document automation, built to skip the orders that don't need one

Amazon Seller to Google Docs, a packing slip made only for the orders you actually pack yourself.

FBA orders ship inside an Amazon warehouse with Amazon's own paperwork. FBM orders don't get any of that — you pack them, and if you want a slip or invoice in the box, you've had to make one yourself. We watch for FBM orders specifically and generate that document automatically, skipping FBA entirely.

Amazon Seller to Google Docs automation by BoldBellows: a packing slip document generated for a merchant-fulfilled order, skipping FBA orders entirely

What actually generates, and what doesn't

  • FBM orders only FBA is skipped automatically
  • Your own SP-API credential Never shared with another seller
  • Ready to print Not another screen to check
  • Lands in your own Drive Never a third-party viewer
  • From $350 one-off price

01 · the paperwork gap FBA doesn't have

FBA orders ship with paperwork already. FBM orders ship with whatever you make.

Amazon's warehouse produces its own packing slip for every FBA order, so nobody thinks about it. The moment you pack an order yourself, that paperwork simply doesn't exist unless you build it, order by order, by hand.

  • A typo means the wrong item name on the slip
  • Busy days mean some orders skip it entirely

02 · how it works

What decides whether a document gets made

A scoped Selling Partner API credential reads each new order's fulfillment type. Only orders marked merchant-fulfilled ever trigger a document; FBA orders pass through untouched.

Your Amazon Seller every new order, FBA and FBM scoped SP-API access BoldBellows filters to FBM only fills the template per order Your Google Docs one document per FBM order ready to print or export
  1. 01

    Two accounts, one short call

You issue the credential, we get editor rights to a Docs folder, and it's all handled on the same short call.

  2. 02

We build the template around your package

A packing slip, invoice or returns letter takes shape, with your branding if the package includes it.

  3. 03

We generate it against your real orders first

Recent FBM orders run through the template before you ever see a live document, so it's already proven when you do.

03 · what ends up in the box

A document worth actually including in the box

Whoever packs the order gets a finished document waiting, not another screen to check before they can seal anything.

04 · who it's for

For sellers doing their own fulfillment, at least part of the time

Each role below deals with the FBM paperwork gap differently. This closes it the same way for all of them.

Owners running a mixed FBA/FBM catalog

"Half our orders need a slip, half don't, and it's hard to keep straight."

The system already knows the difference, order by order.

Warehouse staff packing boxes

"I'm typing the same order details into a doc I just read off the screen."

The document's waiting before the box is even pulled.

Sellers who've faced a suspension before

"Drafting a Plan of Action from scratch under pressure is brutal."

A pre-filled template means starting from something instead of nothing.

Brand-conscious sellers

"A blank packing slip doesn't say anything about who we are."

Every document that leaves the warehouse carries your own branding.

Priced by how many documents and how they look

Pick a package, then decide what's in the box

FBM Packing Slips, Branded Slips & Invoices or Full Document Suite as your base, then which orders it covers and how far the branding goes. From $350, one payment.

05 · compare your options

Copy-pasting into a template, Zapier, or a document that knows FBA from FBM?

Two of these can eventually produce a document. Only one of them knows on its own which orders need one in the first place.

An order that switches fulfillment mid-stream

Amazon can occasionally reassign an order's fulfillment method after it's placed, which could leave a document generated for the wrong scenario if nothing rechecks it.

We build a re-check into the sync, so a late change in fulfillment type doesn't leave a stale document behind.

A multi-item order that needs a longer slip

A ten-line order can overflow a template built for two or three items, cutting off content nobody meant to hide.

The template is built to expand with however many line items a real order actually carries.

The three packages differ by how many document types generate and how far the branding goes.

A packing slip generates for every merchant-fulfilled order, ready to print.

  • A packing slip document created for every new FBM order
  • FBA orders automatically skipped, since Amazon already covers those
  • SKU, quantity and shipping details filled in from the real order
  • Your own scoped Selling Partner API account, never a shared public app
  • Handover notes (PDF) covering the full document structure
  • Two rounds of changes once you see real documents land

Your logo and layout, plus an invoice document alongside the packing slip.

  • Everything in the FBM Packing Slips package
  • An invoice document generated alongside each packing slip
  • Your logo and brand colors built into the template
  • A scheduled re-check on real cron that catches anything missed
  • Handover notes (PDF) covering the full template structure
  • Three rounds of changes once it is running

Returns letters and a reinstatement-appeal template join the packing slip and invoice.

  • Everything in the Branded Slips & Invoices package
  • A returns or RMA letter generated for each return request
  • A Plan of Action document template pre-filled with your account data
  • Fully custom template design, built around your brand guide
  • Handover notes (PDF) covering every document type and template
  • Four rounds of changes once it is running

Which documents should generate?Required

More document types mean more templates to build and maintain.

Which orders should this apply to?Required

FBA orders never need a seller-generated document, so most sellers exclude them entirely.

How should the document look?Required

A more built-out template takes longer but reads better in the box.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

06 · process & getting started

From an FBM order to a printable packing slip

Five stages carry this from a template conversation to documents printing themselves, and we handle nearly all of it. You describe what the document should include, connect two accounts, and check a document built from a real order before it goes live.

  1. Step 01

We sketch what belongs on the page

Line items, shipping details, branding, maybe a return policy note: we settle the layout before building anything.

  2. Step 02

Two logins, handled in one sitting

Your side generates the scoped SP-API credential, ours adds an editor to the Drive folder, both done on the same call.

  3. Step 03

The template gets built and wired up

Merge fields, branding and the FBM/FBA filter all take shape around the layout from step one.

  4. Step 04

We generate it from your real recent orders

A handful of actual FBM orders run through the template before you see a live document, so we catch layout issues first.

  5. Step 05

We document the template and step back

Written notes cover every field and how the FBM filter works, and new orders keep generating documents without us.

Your handover notes Every merge field explained How the FBM filter decides How to edit the template solo What to check if a document stalls Plain English, no jargon PDF Premium handover notes A PDF to keep and hand your warehouse team Document health Last slip 10:04 · generated Every FBM order covered · FBA left alone

Turnaround by package

The build starts the day both accesses reach us. A faster tier at checkout moves the whole thing up the queue.

Branded Slips & Invoices

Full Document Suite

Your side of it

  • The keys to your Seller Central account

You generate the credential yourself, walked through it live on the setup call.

  • A Google Drive folder for us to build in

Editor access is enough; the template lives inside it start to finish.

  • Your logo, if branding is in scope

A PNG or SVG is plenty; we'll fit it to the template.

  • Whatever process you already run

If you're printing slips some other way today, that stays intact until this is proven.

07 · security and ownership

The connection reads orders. It never touches your Drive beyond the template.

Nothing outside the one folder we agree on ever gets created or changed. The rest of your Drive stays exactly as it was before this went live.

read-only your Drive one folder only FBM filtered

Read-only where Amazon's concerned

The SP-API credential sees order data. It can't touch a listing, a price, or place an order.

Confined to a single Drive folder

Nothing outside where the template lives ever gets touched or created.

FBA orders never touch this at all

The filter runs before anything else, so FBA data never even reaches document generation.

Revoke it and generation simply ends

Cut either the SP-API credential or Drive access, and no new documents appear.

No standing archive of your orders

Each one is read long enough to build the document, then it's gone from our side.

The template is just a file in your Drive

Nothing here is licensed back to you. Once it's built, it's ordinary Google Docs you already own.

09 · questions

Questions sellers ask before their first slip prints

Pulled together from real setup conversations, back when past builds were still going live. Send us the detail of your own warehouse setup through a quote request and we'll answer it there.

Will this generate a document for our FBA orders too?

Not by default, and that's on purpose. Amazon's warehouse already produces its own paperwork for FBA orders, so generating a second document would just be noise. The optional all-orders setting exists if you specifically want a tagged record of both.

What happens if Amazon reclassifies an order's fulfillment type partway through?

The build rechecks fulfillment type before generating anything, so a late change doesn't leave a document built for the wrong scenario sitting in your Drive.

Can we edit the template ourselves after handover?

Yes. It's a standard Google Docs template with clearly marked merge fields, and the handover notes walk through exactly how to change it without breaking the automation.

Isn't a Zapier template action enough for this?

It can fill a template, sure, but it has no built-in sense of FBA versus FBM, so you'd still need to build that filter yourself, and its per-task pricing climbs with order volume regardless. We build the filtering logic once instead.

We sell in more than one language across marketplaces. Is that handled?

The multi-language extra covers a second template for a specific marketplace. Beyond that, it's a custom quote scoped to how many languages you actually need.

Does this ever expose anything about our buyers beyond what's needed?

Only the shipping name and address already required to fulfill the order reaches the document, nothing more, and it's a single payment with no ongoing bill from us.

What if Amazon or Google changes something this depends on?

Generation stopping cold is usually the first sign, spotted within a couple of days. Aftercare means whatever broke gets repaired inside 90 days without a second bill landing on you.

Stop hand-typing what the order data already has
