Amazon Seller Klaviyo events, built to trigger flows, not just tags

Amazon Seller to Klaviyo, a matched purchase becomes a real event your flows can branch on.

A tag tells a flow almost nothing. An event does — ASIN, marketplace, order value, all attached. We match your already-opted-in Klaviyo profiles against Amazon order history and fire a real event, so an existing win-back or post-purchase flow can react to it across email and SMS.

From $500, paid once. No per-seat automation bill.

Amazon Seller to Klaviyo automation by BoldBellows: a matched Amazon purchase fired as a Klaviyo event with ASIN and order value, triggering a cross-channel flow

The essentials, before the details

  • A real event, not a tag ASIN and order value attached
  • Verified against real opt-in Nothing inferred from a purchase
  • Email and SMS both One event, either channel
  • Stays inside your own account No separate dashboard to check
  • From $500 one-off price

01 · the tag that isn't enough

A static tag can't branch a flow. An event can.

Klaviyo's flows are built to react to events, weighing more than one condition over time. A subscriber simply labeled "bought on Amazon" gives a flow nothing to actually branch on, and misses the entire point of what Klaviyo's built for.

Profile · dana@realaddress.com Tag: amazon-buyer no ASIN · no date · no order value No flow trigger available a tag alone can't fire an automated flow
Before A label with nothing underneath it for a flow to use
  • No order properties to branch a flow on
  • A tag can't trigger anything by itself
  • Email and SMS both left with nothing to react to
Event · Purchased on Amazon ASIN · B02L9 Marketplace · US Flow triggered · Cross-Channel Welcome Channel · email + SMS
After An event with real properties, doing what Klaviyo's actually built for
  • ASIN, marketplace and value all attached
  • A flow actually triggers, not just a label
  • Either channel can pick it up, or both

02 · how it works

What actually fires a Klaviyo event

A profile that opted in through your own site or landing page, checked against Amazon order history through a scoped SP-API credential. Only a genuine match between the two ever produces an event.

Your Klaviyo profiles real consent, on file plus Amazon order history BoldBellows matches on consented email fires a real event, properties attached Your Klaviyo flows branch on the new event email, SMS, or both
  1. 01

We confirm the profile list is real consent

Before any matching starts, we check the list actually traces back to an opt-in, not a guess about who's bought what.

  2. 02

A match becomes an actual event

Where the address lines up, we fire the event with real order properties attached, not a bare tag with nothing behind it.

  3. 03

We confirm a flow actually catches it

The event runs against your real flow setup before handover, so the first live match you see already triggers correctly.

03 · what shows up in Klaviyo

A flow worth actually building around

Whoever owns lifecycle marketing gets a real trigger to design around, not a static label that still needs manual work to act on.

04 · who it's for

For teams already running Klaviyo on their own site

Each role below is trying to get more out of the same flows they already built. This gives Amazon activity a way to actually feed them.

DTC owners selling on both channels

"Someone buys on Amazon and our flows have no idea."

Now that purchase feeds the same flows your own site traffic does.

Lifecycle marketers building flows

"I can tag someone as an Amazon buyer, but nothing triggers off it."

An actual event means the flow you'd design finally has something to react to.

SMS-first brands

"Email misses half our list. Amazon buyers never even get a text."

The same event can route to SMS just as easily as email.

Multi-brand sellers

"Two brands, one Klaviyo account, and events that would blur together."

Separate event structures keep each brand's flows reacting to the right signal.

Priced by how deep the flow logic goes

Manual list building, Zapier, or an event Klaviyo can actually act on?

Two of these get a name into Klaviyo somehow. Only one of them gives a flow something real to branch on.

A subscriber who's also a repeat buyer

Someone who buys the same product on Amazon three times looks, to a simple tag setup, exactly like someone who bought it once.

A dated event lets a flow tell the difference and treat a repeat buyer differently from a first-timer.

A flow already tuned for site traffic only

An existing flow built around your own checkout events might not know what to do with an Amazon-sourced trigger at all.

We map the new event into your flow's existing logic, rather than asking you to redesign it from scratch.

Choose your packageRequired

The three packages differ by how much event detail carries over and how far the flow logic branches.

A matched purchase fires a real Klaviyo event, ready for existing flows.

  • A one-time match between your opted-in profiles and Amazon order history
  • A "Purchased on Amazon" event fired for every matched order
  • Matching done on the email a subscriber already gave you, never an exported one
  • Your own scoped Selling Partner API account, never a shared public app
  • Handover notes (PDF) covering exactly how the event fires
  • Two rounds of changes once you see real events land

One flow actually triggers off the matched event, across email and SMS.

  • Everything in the Event Sync package
  • Event properties carried over: ASIN, marketplace and order value
  • One Klaviyo flow built to trigger off the matched event
  • Support for both email and SMS in that flow
  • Handover notes (PDF) covering the full flow logic
  • Three rounds of changes once it is running

A multi-step journey branches on Amazon activity and your own site behavior together.

  • Everything in the Flow Trigger Builder package
  • Multi-step branching logic across more than one condition
  • A cross-channel win-back sequence for Amazon buyers inactive on your site
  • Full purchase history tagged and dated for richer branching
  • Handover notes (PDF) covering the full journey map
  • Four rounds of changes once it is running

A loyalty tier spanning both channels, a journey built around a dozen products, or an event structure none of the packages above name. Tell us how your flows actually work and we will price it for your setup.

How much order detail should the event carry?Required

More detail means richer flow branching, at the cost of a slightly larger build.

Which channels should the flow use?Required

SMS adds a channel most Amazon-only competitors never reach.

How deep should the flow logic go?Required

Deeper logic catches more nuance, at the cost of a longer build.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

06 · process & getting started

From a matched purchase to a live Klaviyo event

Getting from a description of your flows to a working, event-driven trigger runs through five stages, most of which are ours to carry. You walk us through what already exists, connect two accounts, and sign off on events built from your own real activity.

  1. Step 01

We look at the flows you already run

What triggers them today, and where an Amazon-sourced event should plug into that existing logic.

  2. Step 02

    Both accounts, one short call

A scoped SP-API credential and a Klaviyo private API key, generated together while we walk through it with you.

  3. Step 03

The event structure and match logic get built

Property names, matching rules and channel routing all take shape around the flows we looked at in step one.

  4. Step 04

We fire it against real activity first

A slice of your actual profiles and order history runs through the match, so we see it trigger correctly before you do.

  5. Step 05

We hand over the event map and step back

Written notes cover every property and the flow it feeds, and new matches keep firing events without us in the loop.

Your handover notes Every event property explained Which flow reacts to what How to add a property solo What to check if a match stalls Plain English, no jargon PDF Premium handover notes A PDF to keep and hand your marketing team Event health Last event 13:20 · flow triggered Every match checked · no address ever exported

Your side of it

  • A Klaviyo private API key

Standard account access, enough to write events and read flow status.

  • Your Seller Central login

Enough to issue the scoped SP-API credential, with us guiding you through it.

  • A look at your current flows

Screenshots or a quick walkthrough is plenty to design around.

  • Whatever events already exist

Nothing about them changes. This adds a new event, it doesn't touch the old ones.

07 · security and ownership

The event enriches a profile. It never creates one.

This only ever attaches to a Klaviyo profile that's already there through your own consent. It adds a purchase event, nothing more, and nobody new ever joins your account through it.

never adds profiles your Klaviyo no address exported events only

Amazon side, limited to reading orders

Nothing about the credential lets it adjust a listing, change a price, or place an order.

Buyer addresses stop at the match, always

Whatever email a subscriber gave you is what gets checked. Nothing pulled straight off an Amazon order ever reaches the profile.

Events fire, no profile gets created

An unmatched order is simply skipped. Every event here attaches to someone already in your account.

Cut the connection and matching just ends

Revoke either credential and no further events fire. Past events on your profiles don't get touched or rolled back.

We keep no copy of your profile list

Each match gets read, an event fires, and it's forgotten on our end.

Belongs to your Klaviyo account outright

There's no license or dependency on us once it's live. It's just how your account is configured from here on.

09 · questions

What lifecycle marketers ask before wiring this up

Collected from real setup calls before past builds shipped. If your flow setup raises something not covered here, that's exactly what a quote request is for.

Can you just import every Amazon buyer as a Klaviyo profile?

We won't build that, on purpose. An Amazon order tells you what someone bought, not that they agreed to hear from you again, so turning buyer addresses into profiles isn't something this build does. It works only against people already on your list by their own choice.

What actually makes this an event instead of a tag?

Klaviyo events carry properties a flow can evaluate, like ASIN or order value, and they can trigger a flow directly. A tag just sits on a profile until someone manually acts on it.

Will this work with a flow we've already built?

Usually, yes. We look at your existing flow logic during setup and map the new event into it, rather than asking you to rebuild something that already works.

Wouldn't Zapier's own Klaviyo connector cover this?

It'll pass a field from one app to another, but there's nothing built in for checking consent first or shaping an event around real order properties. Designing that is the actual work here, well beyond what the connector itself does.

This account sells for more than one brand. Does the build change?

Add the multi-brand extra and each brand's events and flows get kept apart, rather than landing in one combined structure that's hard to untangle later.

Does anything about this involve an ongoing subscription?

No. Profiles never leave Klaviyo, orders never leave Seller Central, and once a match fires its event we're not holding onto either. You pay for the build once.

Say Klaviyo or Amazon changes an API behind this. What breaks?

Usually the first sign is a stalled match in the log within a few days. Aftercare covers repairing that within 90 days of go-live, without a second invoice landing in your inbox.
