Can wholesale quote documents really pull from our price lists?
Yes. B2B Edition company account price lists are read through the BigCommerce API and used to fill a branded quote document, so the numbers always match what that account is actually entitled to.
Why not just use Zapier to fill a Google Docs template?
Zapier's Google Docs actions handle basic text replacement well, but struggle with multi-item order tables, conditional formatting, and price-list lookups. We build the template logic properly, so it holds up as your order shapes get more complex.
How does BigCommerce reach Google Docs without a native connector?
An order id is genuinely all a BigCommerce webhook sends. Before any template fills in, that id sends us back to the API for the order's real contents, which is what keeps every document accurate.
Can documents look different for retail and wholesale?
Yes, that's what the Full Paperwork Engine package is built for. A retail confirmation and a wholesale quote can use entirely separate templates, layouts and branding.
Can you regenerate documents for orders from before we started?
Yes, as the optional backfill extra. There's no fixed lookback limit on the Orders API, so older orders can get their documents rebuilt in batches too.
How protected is our store data here?
Nothing about the connection can alter an order, a product or a price; it only ever reads. Customer details can be shortened or left off entirely, the Drive folder stays shared with only the people you name, and access is yours to revoke whenever you choose.
Does this lock us into anything, or can we expand later?
Nothing to be locked into. Templates and the sync script both live inside your own Google account, no subscription attached. Adding a new document type or another store later is just a matter of asking.
