BigCommerce to Notion, a workspace that already knows your orders

BoldBellows connects BigCommerce to Notion for you, so every order lands in a live database, related to the customer who placed it, browsable as a table, a board or a calendar. Multi-Storefront sellers get every channel tracked in its own view from day one.

B2Before and after

A wiki full of pasted order screenshots isn't a database

Most BigCommerce sellers on Notion keep an orders page that's really just a running list, pasted in by hand between meetings. Nothing links to the customer who placed it, and nothing rolls up.

Sound familiar?

"Orders get pasted in from another tab."

Someone copies the order summary into a Notion page by hand, so half of yesterday's orders never make it in.

"Nothing relates to the customer."

With no relation back to a customer page, a loyal shopper's ten purchases show up as ten disconnected strangers.

"Wholesale and retail end up in the same list."

A single retail purchase and a standing wholesale order render exactly the same way when there's no channel property to tell them apart.

"A copy-paste mistake doubled an order."

With no id check, the same order gets pasted in twice on a busy afternoon, and nobody notices for a week.

Same store, same Notion account, a very different workspace

D4How it works

The mechanics behind a BigCommerce Notion workspace

Three moving parts sit behind this, and all three are ours to build. Nothing lands on your desk that looks like code or a workflow editor.

Your store Orders, customers, products Read-only BoldBellows sync Relates, rolls up, tags Related pages Your Notion Databases, views, rollups

1. A safe, read-only link

A read-only BigCommerce API account gets set up from our guided steps, alongside sharing your Notion workspace with us. We can see your data, never change your store.

2. A sync that relates and rolls up

Each order writes as a page, related to its customer, tagged by channel, with rollup properties recalculating on their own.

3. Every database checked

Before handover we check properties, relations and rollups against a real batch of orders.

E5Inside your workspace

What lands in Notion, database by database

Plain property names, real relations, no mystery pages.

Orders

Every order, related

Status, total and channel as properties, related to the customer who placed it.

Customers

Rollups included

Lifetime spend and order count recalculated automatically as orders arrive.

Products

Related to orders

A two-way relation ties each product to every order it appeared on, so you can start from either side.

Views

Table, board and calendar

The same database, browsable the way each part of your team actually works.

B2B price lists

Related to companies

Company account price lists synced alongside standard retail orders.

Customer pages

Templated summaries

A generated page per customer, filled in with their order history automatically.

G7Who it is for

Built for the people who already run their business in Notion

Recognise any of this from your own workspace? A well-built BigCommerce Notion integration hands that time straight back to you.

Founders and owners

"What did this customer actually spend?"

A related database answers that with a click, not a filter you rebuild each time.

Operations managers

"Our orders page is a wall of pasted text."

A real database with properties and filters replaces the scroll-and-search routine.

Wholesale and B2B teams

"Company price lists live in a doc somewhere."

A related price list database keeps wholesale terms next to the orders they govern.

Multi-channel sellers

"Three channels, one messy page."

Right from the first order that syncs, retail, wholesale and marketplace stay in their own lanes.

I9Your options

Copy-paste, a generic app, or something purpose-built for Notion

Three routes exist to get a BigCommerce order into Notion. Pick any of them for a single page; the gap shows up once a customer needs their own linked history.

Build your BigCommerce to Notion price

Pick a package, answer four short questions about your databases, your views and your channels, and your price and go-live date move as you choose.

Choose your packageRequired

The three packages differ by how many databases relate to each other and how many views your team gets.

Orders sync into one live Notion database, filterable and always current.

  • Orders synced from BigCommerce into one Notion database
  • Status, total, channel and items as their own properties
  • De-duplication on order id, so a retried webhook never doubles a page
  • A scheduled re-check on real cron that catches anything a webhook missed
  • Your own read-only BigCommerce API account, never a shared public app
  • Premium handover notes (PDF) covering every property and sync rule
  • Two rounds of changes once you see real orders land

Orders, customers and products related together across linked databases.

  • Everything in the Database Sync package
  • Customer and product databases related to their orders
  • Table, board and calendar views built for how your team works
  • A view or relation per storefront channel, filterable in one click
  • Rollup properties for lifetime spend and order count per customer
  • Premium handover notes (PDF) covering the full workspace structure
  • Three rounds of changes once it is running

Live stock, wholesale price lists and templated customer pages, all connected.

  • Everything in the Connected Workspace package
  • Live stock and variant-level inventory in its own related database
  • A B2B Edition price list database linked to company orders
  • Templated order-summary pages generated per customer automatically
  • Multiple BigCommerce stores feeding one workspace if needed
  • Batched, rate-limit-safe syncing that never chokes on a busy sale day
  • Premium handover notes (PDF) covering every database, relation and view
  • Four rounds of changes once it is running

Several BigCommerce stores feeding one workspace, a wiki-style structure across many pages, or a database shape none of the packages above name. Tell us how you want the workspace organised and we will price it for your build.

Which BigCommerce data should reach Notion?Required

The more resources you switch on, the more of the V2/V3 API surface we read and shape into pages.

How should the workspace be organised?Required

A Multi-Storefront setup can report everything together or keep each channel filterable on its own.

How often should the workspace refresh?Required

BigCommerce webhooks arrive thin, so every refresh calls back into the API for the full record before it writes a page.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Optional extrasOptional

Each one begins switched off. Turn on what your workspace needs, watch the total, switch it back off.

J11The process

Six stages between your table names and a live workspace

Most of the calendar time is ours. Your part fits into roughly an hour, spread across the project.

  1. Walk us through what's already there

Any databases you're already keeping, the channels you sell through, and how you picture orders linking to customers.

    Day 1
  2. Two logins change hands

A scoped BigCommerce credential and a Notion workspace invite. We talk you through both, screenshots included.

    About 15 minutes
  3. Your tables get built out

Historical orders load first, then live ones start arriving as pages, with relations and rollups following behind them.

    Most of the build
  4. We argue with the numbers until they agree

Every property, relation and rollup gets checked line by line against your actual BigCommerce orders.

    Before you review
  5. A week of you poking at it

Live with real orders while you look for anything off. Your package decides how many revision passes follow.

    Your feedback
  6. A written guide, then we're out of the way

A PDF walks through every database we touched. The sync just keeps going from there.

    Final day

Your side of the build

  • A BigCommerce login

Sufficient access for you to generate the scoped credential, or add us as staff and we'll handle it instead.

  • Room in your Notion workspace

Enough that we can add tables and walk through the structure with you.

  • Whatever you're already tracking

Existing pages or databases stay put. We build the sync to work with them, not over them.

  • A rough sketch of your tables,

even a napkin version of what should link to what and roll up where.

L13Safety and ownership

A key that reads, a workspace that stays entirely yours

Nothing on the BigCommerce side changes because we connected. Every table this builds lives inside your own Notion account, not ours.

read-only you own it

Built to look, not to touch

Orders and customers are visible to it. Editing one is simply outside what it can do.

Show as much as feels right

An order number alone, an initial, or the full name: whatever a page displays is up to you.

No shared logins involved

Only the individual accounts you list get any access at all.

Off in one move

Disconnect Notion or kill the credential, and the sync stops that same moment.

Nothing archived on our end

Your data travels from BigCommerce into Notion. We're not a stop along the way.

Nothing to keep renewing

The tables, relations and rollups belong to your workspace, with no recurring charge from us.

N15FAQ

What people usually want to check first

Drawn from real conversations with past clients. Whatever's not covered here fits naturally into your quote request.

Isn't Zapier enough for this?

For creating a page, sure. It has no built-in way to look up an existing customer page and link a new order to it, so relations, rollups and channel-aware views all fall outside what its standard actions do. It also bills per task, which adds up as orders climb.

What stops a repeat customer from getting a second page?

Email matching happens before a page ever gets created. Their fifth order relates back to the same customer page as their first, and the rollup simply updates instead of a duplicate showing up.

Does this only capture orders going forward, or older ones too?

Older ones too. There's no rolling-window limit on BigCommerce's Orders API, so a backfill can go back to your store's first order, brought in through batches that respect your API quota.

We sell through several channels. Does the workspace tell them apart?

It does. Every order arrives with its channel id attached, which becomes a tag, a saved view, or its own related database per storefront, however you'd rather see it.

Is there room for our B2B price lists in here?

Yes, and it's a named extra for exactly that reason. Company account price lists sync into their own related database, sitting alongside standard retail orders.

What could go wrong with our customer data here?

Not much, by design. The BigCommerce side of this only reads, meaning orders, products and prices are untouched, we keep no copy of anything, and access can be pulled by you whenever you decide to.

Does keeping this running cost anything month to month?

A single build fee is all it costs, ever. Your Notion workspace holds every database this creates, with no subscription running behind it from our side.
