BoldBellowsLinkedIn employee advocacy automation for companies that want their people, not a bot, to carry the message

LinkedIn employee advocacy automation that offers approved Page posts to opted-in staff and reshares only when each person says yes

A reshare from an employee's profile is written with their own permission, w_member_social, under their own authorization, and that authorization lasts 60 days. The restricted read permission for a member's posts is available to approved users only. BoldBellows holds the Page, the author and the queue entry as one identity, leaves a finished item untouched by any older event that follows it, then offers each new approved post to the staff who opted in, with a suggested line they can edit, posts the reshare through the Posts API only after that person confirms, and records the reshare URN against the original. Nobody is signed up, and nobody's profile is read.

Chapter 01 the nagging-chat problem

A message in the team chat asks everyone and measures no one

Advocacy usually means a Slack message asking staff to share a post, a spreadsheet of who did, and a manager who chases. Tools that post on employees' behalf without a tap cross a line most people notice, and a program built that way ends the day the first employee objects. Meanwhile the authorization each person gave quietly lapses after 60 days, and the post that mattered is not shared at all.

Three people opted out in week one and nobody minded, which is how we knew it was working.

From a communications lead's notes

Everyone asked, no one answers

The chat message was ignored.

A post shared without being asked

Consent was assumed.

No record of who shared

A spreadsheet went stale.

Before

  • Nothing tells a repeat from a new change
  • A chat message asks everyone to share
  • Nobody knows whose authorization has lapsed

After

  • The same event always lands on the same share record, using the Company Page post URN joined to the employee's member URN
  • Opted-in staff are offered each post once
  • Every reshare needs a tap and is recorded

Chapter 02 How it works

How an approved post becomes a reshare from someone who chose to make it

First decide, then find, then act: that is the whole route in one line.

Understand the change

The LinkedIn record is read to see what really changed, and the result is compared with your rule.

Offer, edit, confirm

An approved post is offered to opted-in staff with a suggested line they can change, and nothing is posted until they confirm.

Reshare, record, renew

The reshare is created through the Posts API, its URN is stored, and authorizations nearing expiry are renewed.

Platform behaviour the build accounts for

  • Every member authorizes: A member's posts are written with w_member_social under that member's own consent, and an access token lives for 60 days, so an employee program tracks each person's authorization and asks again before it lapses.
  • Sixty days, per person: A member's access token lives for 60 days and every reshare is made under that person's own authorization, so the route tracks each expiry and asks before it arrives.
  • Checks after errors: After an error the route asks advocacy records what it holds for the Company Page post URN joined to the employee's member URN and compares it with what was sent.

Chapter 04 Who this fits

For the healthcare suppliers that want to offer approved Company Page posts to employees who opted in, share them from the employee's own profile only on their say-so, and report what was shared

People trust people more than Pages. The route gives employees a simple way to share, and a clear way to say no.

Head of communications

"I want reach without pressure."

Staff choose, and nobody is enrolled by default.

Employee

"I will share what I believe in."

I see the post, edit the line and tap once.

HR director

"Participation must be voluntary."

Opt-out is one click and is honored at once.

Marketing manager

"How many reshares did we get?"

Each reshare is recorded against the original post.

IT administrator

"Authorizations expire."

Each is tracked and renewed ahead of time.

Legal adviser

"I want a record of consent."

Opt-ins and confirmations are time-stamped.

Chapter 05 The options

If a message in the team chat saying please share and zaps are not enough: a consent-first sharing route

Each can ask staff to share. Only one makes it opt-in, tracks authorizations and records every reshare.

Two updates, wrong order

When updates cross in transit, the later one wins and the earlier one is kept in the log, not written over it.

An employee authorized the app 58 days ago and a new post is ready

The route sees the authorization is about to lapse, asks the employee to renew before the offer, and sends the offer only once the renewal is in. It looks up the Company Page post URN joined to the employee's member URN, compares like with like and records which of the four outcomes applies. Unclear matches are held for review instead of guessed at.

With the Company Page post URN joined to the employee's member URN in place, a duplicate, a late event and a lost reply all have a safe answer.

Build your LinkedIn to Employee Advocacy price

Pick a package, answer three short questions about how LinkedIn data should reach Employee Advocacy, and your price and turnaround move as you choose.

Choose your packageRequired

The three packages differ by how much routing, reconciliation and governance sits around the LinkedIn to Employee Advocacy route.

A focused production route for one LinkedIn environment and one Employee Advocacy destination, delivering opt-in LinkedIn employee advocacy: approved Company Page posts offered to staff, reshared from their profiles only with their approval, with consent and tokens tracked with identity and failure controls from day one.

  • One approved LinkedIn event family and business-state admission rule within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.
  • One authorized account, workspace, organization, or base boundary within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.
  • One Employee Advocacy object contract with field and relationship mapping
  • Stable matching through LinkedIn organization or ad account plus post, campaign, form response, lead, or event registration ID and source object identity paired with the employee advocacy case, job, asset, event, or result identifier
  • Tests for duplicates, stale events, malformed data, denied access, and timeouts within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.
  • Implementation map, test record, and premium PDF operations handover within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.

Adds branching, matching and a bounded historical pass for teams whose route into Employee Advocacy cannot be one straight-through action, while still delivering opt-in LinkedIn employee advocacy: approved Company Page posts offered to staff, reshared from their profiles only with their approval, with consent and tokens tracked.

  • Everything in Launch
  • Up to four approved routing or state-transition branches within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.
  • Existing-record resolution and one bounded historical checkpoint within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.
  • Lookup-before-replay protection for uncertain writes
  • Named exception ownership and a decision-ready evidence packet within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.
  • Field, permission, and destination-state validation before mutation within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.

Adds reconciliation and governance for teams that now depend on opt-in LinkedIn employee advocacy: approved Company Page posts offered to staff, reshared from their profiles only with their approval, with consent and tokens tracked, with drift detection and an exception register for Employee Advocacy.

  • Everything in Operations
  • Scheduled source-to-destination reconciliation
  • Schema, field, scope, and webhook drift checks within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.
  • Volume-aware retry ceilings and stale-event protection
  • Aged-exception reporting with ownership status
  • Thirty-day release watch and operating review

Within the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy scope, multi-business-unit routing, unrestricted bidirectional synchronization, regulated archives, unsupported extensions, or additional destination systems receive a separate written quote. Third-party subscriptions and usage charges are excluded.

Chapter 06 The process

Six steps from a chat message to a consent-first program

Work moves through six steps, and you approve the important ones.

  1. About 30 minutes

    Define the program

We agree who may opt in, which posts qualify and how often an employee is offered one.

  2. Access review

    Approve access

Access to LinkedIn and Employee Advocacy is set up with limited scope, and the fields that identify each record are chosen.

  3. Most of the project

    Agree consent and wording

The opt-in and opt-out wording, the suggested-line rules and the renewal reminders are agreed in writing before any offer is sent.

  4. Before you review

    Rehearse before launch

The route is exercised end to end in a test advocacy records, including the failures, before it touches real data.

  5. Handover day

    Launch with notes

After the final test we enable the route and give you notes that name every owner and repair path.

  6. About 30 minutes

    Review and adjust

Real traffic often shows edge cases; this step folds them into the rules and the notes.

Chapter 07 Turnaround

Timing starts on access, and faster options shorten it, for this LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service.

Chapter 08 Getting started

What to have ready

A LinkedIn connection you are happy for us to test with

An approved Company Page app, employees who opt in and authorize it, and a person who approves the posts that may be offered

LinkedIn API details for the account we will connect to

Any Company Page events that must never reach advocacy records

Approval to review a small set of recent LinkedIn records

Preferred language and tone for any messages the route sends

Chapter 09 Trust

You keep control of LinkedIn and advocacy records, we keep to the map

LinkedIn keeps its data, Employee Advocacy receives only the approved subset, and we keep nothing beyond identifiers and outcomes.

Read-only LinkedIn to Content Pipeline access: your data stays yoursA follower table with the email metadata field blacked out and a read-only stamp, with a seal noting emails are hidden except from named people.FOLLOWERSNAMEEMAILREACHMaya Chen9Omar Hale14Lena Brooks5Sam Ortiz21Priya Nair7READ-ONLYHidden from everyoneexcept named people

Standard access, standard behaviour

We rely on the regular access each platform offers, never on a change to how LinkedIn or advocacy records work internally.

Scoped, revocable access

Least-privilege access is the default, and it is documented.

Sensitive values held back

Anything sensitive in LinkedIn is either excluded or transformed before it can reach advocacy records.

Recovery without duplicates

Failed or unclear writes are recovered by matching on the Company Page post URN joined to the employee's member URN, never by generating a new share record.

Minimal logging

The audit trail is made of IDs and decisions, not personal data.

Full handover

After handover you can maintain, change or retire the route on your own.

"A share means something only when the person chose it, so the build treats every confirmation as the whole point and not a hurdle."

Chapter 11 Questions

LinkedIn employee advocacy: what communications leaders ask

Short answers to what people ask before they book. Anything else can go in your quote request.

?How long does it take?Asked most often6 to 10 daysSet date, no surprisesAnswers, straight away
What does this add over a LinkedIn to Employee Advocacy Zapier connection?

Where employees who share when they choose to, with less friction is enough, stay with a zap. The difference shows when you must keep every share the employee's own decision, track each person's authorization or report without reading their private data. The connector carries the event; the build carries the decisions.

Will it post on employees' behalf automatically?

No. Every reshare waits for the employee's confirmation.

Does it read employees' profiles?

No. The route offers posts and records reshares it created. Reading a member's own posts is a restricted permission, and it is not needed.

What if someone wants out?

One click opts them out, and no further offer is sent.

How are expiries handled?

Each person's authorization is tracked and they are asked to renew before the 60 days end.

Can employees change the wording?

Yes. A suggested line is offered, and the employee edits or replaces it.

Is this against LinkedIn's rules?

Resharing through the Posts API with each member's authorization is the documented path.

Can I see the LinkedIn field map first?

We do it for every route. The LinkedIn Employee Advocacy field mapping service gives you a document, not a promise, listing each field that will cross.

Will it handle rules specific to our business in the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy service?

Yes. Each branch you need is documented, giving a custom LinkedIn workflow for Employee Advocacy. We act as the LinkedIn Employee Advocacy integration consultant on the project, from $835.

What happens after a platform update?

We write down what the route assumes. When an assumption stops being true, the route stops that step and says so, rather than improvising.

Give your team advocacy that starts with a yes

We scope how to automate LinkedIn data to Employee Advocacy against it, and First Mile begins at $835.
