BoldBellowsLinkedIn to Trello automation for teams that track Page work on a board

LinkedIn to Trello automation that turns Page comments needing action into cards, adds follow-ups as card comments and stays inside Trello's rate limits

A buyer's question under a post is a task whether or not anyone writes it down. BoldBellows writes down the lead's ID, the form version and the owner URN before any answer is read, checks the daily request budget before a single further request is planned, then applies your rules, creates one card per conversation on the list you chose, sets the labels, the due date and the member, and adds later comments to the same card instead of opening new ones. Trello allows 300 requests per 10 seconds per API key and 100 per token, and the route paces itself to stay below both, so a long thread never produces a wall of refused requests.

Chapter 01 the untracked-question problem

A card for every comment turns the board into a log and hides the question that mattered

Create-a-card-per-comment turns the board into a mirror of the feed. A thread of ten replies becomes ten cards, every card is untitled, and the person assigned cannot see what the original question was. Praise, spam and questions from buyers land on one list, and the comment that deserved a same-day answer is the ninth from the top.

The ninth comment on the list finally had the label it deserved.

From a Page manager's retrospective

Ten cards for one thread

No conversation key.

An untitled card

Chapter 02 How it works

How a Page comment becomes one card with its conversation attached

A change must qualify first; its LinkedIn card is then found by key and only the missing fields are written.

Fig. 3. The comment is matched to a thread, one card is kept, and follow-ups join it as comments.

Receive and test

The LinkedIn notification is verified, logged with its account, resource and time, and tested against your written rule.

Receive, match, create

The comment arrives, the conversation is matched to an open card or a new one is created, and labels are set.

Comment, assign, verify

Follow-ups are added as card comments, a member is assigned if the labels require one, and a scheduled check compares the board with the Page.

The LinkedIn and Trello details behind the design

  • A page of a hundred: Finding posts by author returns up to 100 per page and is sorted by last modified time by default, and a write conflict returns a 409 that is safe to retry, so the route pages carefully and retries conflicts.
  • Three hundred in ten seconds: Trello allows 300 requests per 10 seconds per API key and 100 per token, so the route spreads a busy afternoon of cards and comments instead of sending them in one burst.
  • Repair rule: Before any retry the route reads Trello through the comment's post URN, stored in the card's custom field and in a hidden attachment URL, so a second request never doubles the first.

Chapter 04 Who this fits

Where financial advisers and wealth firms need to turn Page comments and messages that need action, such as questions from buyers and content ideas, into Trello cards on the right board and list

LinkedIn is where questions and ideas first appear. Trello is where your team keeps track of them.

Community manager

"I need a queue, not a feed."

Each conversation is a card in a list I can sort.

Sales development rep

"Buyer questions first."

Questions from target accounts get their own label.

Content lead

"Ideas should not get lost."

Content ideas land on their own list.

Agency manager

Each client has a board, token and rules.

Founder

Open cards show the comment and the age.

Operations lead

"Who owns this?"

Rules assign a member by topic.

Chapter 05 The options

LinkedIn to Trello: a zap that opens a card for every comment, a zap or a card-per-conversation sync

Each can make a card. Only one keeps a card per conversation, adds follow-ups as comments and stays within the limits.

A delayed notice turns up

Every LinkedIn event is compared with the state already stored, so a late one is logged and cannot undo a newer card.

A buyer's question draws a long thread of replies

The first comment opens one card on the Reply list with a due date, the replies are added as card comments in order, and the card is labeled as a question by rule. The route turns the comment's post URN, stored in the card's custom field and in a hidden attachment URL into a search of Trello and sorts the reply into four cases: missing, matching, different or unclear. A Trello card is created only after a search shows that none exists.

Settle the comment's post URN, stored in the card's custom field and in a hidden attachment URL with the team first: every field choice and routing rule depends on that one decision.

Build your LinkedIn to Trello price

Pick a package, answer three short questions about how LinkedIn data should reach Trello, and your price and turnaround move as you choose.

Choose your packageRequired

The three packages differ by how much routing, reconciliation and governance sits around the LinkedIn to Trello route.

A focused production route for one LinkedIn environment and one Trello destination, delivering LinkedIn Company Page comments that need action created as Trello cards, one per conversation, with follow-ups added as comments and labels set by rule with identity and failure controls from day one.

  • One approved LinkedIn event family and business-state admission rule within the LinkedIn to Trello service.
  • One authorized account, workspace, organization, or base boundary within the LinkedIn to Trello service.
  • One Trello object contract with field and relationship mapping within the LinkedIn to Trello service.
  • Stable matching through LinkedIn organization or ad account plus post, campaign, form response, lead, or event registration ID and a source fingerprint stored in a card custom field
  • Tests for duplicates, stale events, malformed data, denied access, and timeouts within the LinkedIn to Trello service.
  • Implementation map, test record, and premium PDF operations handover within the LinkedIn to Trello service.

Adds branching, matching and a bounded historical pass for teams whose route into Trello cannot be one straight-through action, while still delivering LinkedIn Company Page comments that need action created as Trello cards, one per conversation, with follow-ups added as comments and labels set by rule.

  • Everything in Core
  • Up to four approved routing or state-transition branches within the LinkedIn to Trello service.
  • Existing-record resolution and one bounded historical checkpoint within the LinkedIn to Trello service.
  • Lookup-before-replay protection for uncertain writes
  • Named exception ownership and a decision-ready evidence packet within the LinkedIn to Trello service.
  • Field, permission, and destination-state validation before mutation within the LinkedIn to Trello service.

Adds reconciliation and governance for teams that now depend on LinkedIn Company Page comments that need action created as Trello cards, one per conversation, with follow-ups added as comments and labels set by rule, with drift detection and an exception register for Trello.

  • Everything in Managed
  • Scheduled source-to-destination reconciliation
  • Schema, field, scope, and webhook drift checks within the LinkedIn to Trello service.
  • Volume-aware retry ceilings and stale-event protection
  • Aged-exception reporting with ownership status
  • Thirty-day release watch and operating review

Within the LinkedIn to Trello scope, multi-business-unit routing, unrestricted bidirectional synchronization, regulated archives, unsupported extensions, or additional destination systems receive a separate written quote. Third-party subscriptions and usage charges are excluded.

Which LinkedIn events should reach Trello?Required

Governed lifecycle set: Use this when several approved LinkedIn transitions must converge on one Trello card.

How should Trello recognise a LinkedIn record it has already handled?Required

Ambiguity queue: Route zero-match and multi-match cases to an owner instead of letting Trello guess.

Which LinkedIn events should reach Trello?Required

Managed repair case: Capture evidence, ownership and a safe next action whenever a Trello write is uncertain.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Chapter 06 The process

Six steps from scattered comments to a board that works

With LinkedIn to Trello in place, six steps, each ending in a written output, lead from brief to a monitored launch.

  1. About 30 minutes

    Design the board

We map the lists, labels, members and custom fields that each kind of comment needs.

  2. Access review

    Approve access

Limited-scope access to LinkedIn and Trello is arranged, and the identifiers that tie the records together are agreed.

  3. Most of the project

    Agree creation rules

What becomes a card, what is ignored and who owns each list are agreed in writing before a card is created.

  4. Before you review

    Break it on a copy

Repeats, delays, missing values and withdrawn access are tried on a test copy of Trello before launch, in the LinkedIn to Trello route.

  5. Handover day

    Launch with notes

Launch happens at a checkpoint you approve, with written notes on each rule that is live, on the LinkedIn to Trello route.

  6. About 30 minutes

    Month-one review

Across the first thirty days the checkpoint log is read with you, retries and drift are watched, and live data decides what gets tuned, in the LinkedIn to Trello route.

Chapter 07 Turnaround

What to expect on timing

The days count from the moment LinkedIn and Trello access is approved.

Basic

4 to 7 business days

Managed

7 to 11 business days

Governed

11 to 17 business days

Chapter 08 Getting started

Needed from you for the Trello route

A user or token that can read the LinkedIn records the route needs

A Page administrator to authorize access, a Trello API key and token for the board and the rules for what needs action

Authorized LinkedIn credentials for the objects and events in scope

A short written rule for which Company Page events should reach Trello

Someone on your side who decides exceptions and mapping questions

Automations already running in LinkedIn or Trello on the same data

Chapter 09 Trust

Only approved data moves, and nothing inside LinkedIn or Trello is altered

Only the LinkedIn data you list is read, and it is written to the place in Trello you name.

Read-only LinkedIn to Trello access: your data stays yoursA sealed envelope marked private and yours to open, with a read-only stamp.PrivateYOURS TO OPENREAD-ONLY

Outside the products

LinkedIn and Trello are used only through their documented endpoints, so no file, setting or script inside either one is altered.

Scoped, revocable access

Each credential is limited to its LinkedIn task, and you can switch any of them off whenever you wish.

Only the mapped fields move

A signed field map lists what may cross into Trello; every other LinkedIn value stays where it is.

When a write is in doubt

A reply that never came back is answered by reading Trello through the comment's post URN, stored in the card's custom field and in a hidden attachment URL, and the card found there decides the next move.

Minimal logging

Logs keep references and outcomes only, so there is no copy of your data to guard, in the LinkedIn to Trello route.

Full handover

For LinkedIn to Trello, you receive the map, the list of credentials and the repair notes, and keep all of them.

"A conversation is one piece of work however many replies it has, so the build opens one card and keeps adding to it."

Chapter 10 In their words

What BoldBellows clients say

Verified reviews from business owners who use BoldBellows automations every day, from marketing and data to support and operations.

AI CRM Automation

Our CRM was barely used because updating it by hand was tedious. BoldBellows automated data entry, tagging, segmentation and follow-ups.

Now the CRM is always up to date and our campaigns are far more accurate. It improved our whole sales pipeline.

David KimVerifiedSeoul, South Korea

AI Workflow Automation for Agencies

Running a digital agency with many clients was overwhelming. BoldBellows built one automation dashboard that tracks tasks, sends updates and creates client reports automatically.

Clients love the transparency and we love the time we get back. Productivity is up, and project delays have dropped to almost zero.

Samuel BoatengVerifiedAccra, Ghana

AI Automation Partner

BoldBellows is hands-down the best AI automation partner we’ve worked with. Their systems are fast, reliable and built around how our business actually works.

Every automation they’ve delivered, from customer service to content, runs flawlessly. We’ve saved time, cut costs and grown faster than we expected.

Kwame MensahVerifiedKumasi, Ghana

AI Chatbot & Customer Support

BoldBellows built an AI support chatbot for our online boutique, and it has changed how we run the business. We used to have two full-time staff answering the same questions all day. Now the AI handles order tracking, product recommendations and even refund requests on its own.

What surprised me most is how natural it sounds. Customers compliment the ‘agent’ without realizing it’s AI. Our support workload dropped by 75% and customer satisfaction went up dramatically.

Maria GonzálezVerifiedMadrid, Spain

AI Content & Social Media Automation

Our marketing agency couldn’t keep up with content. BoldBellows set up an AI content engine that writes blog posts and captions and even designs our social media creatives.

It spots trends and suggests topics for us, so we stay ahead of competitors. We now produce three times the content with the same team, and engagement has soared. They didn’t just automate our workflow, they lifted our whole brand.

Daniel BrooksVerifiedToronto, Canada

AI Lead Qualification & Sales Automation

Our sales team wasted hours chasing cold leads. BoldBellows built an AI lead-scoring system that reads behavior, email engagement and buying signals.

It filters out weak leads and sends personalized follow-ups automatically, so our team only talks to people who are ready to buy. Conversions rose 40% in the first month. It paid for itself straight away.

Aisha MohammedVerifiedDubai, UAE

AI Video & Voice Automation

We publish product videos every week, and BoldBellows introduced us to AI video automation. The system writes the script, voices it and produces the finished video in minutes.

The quality is remarkable: professional voiceovers, clean visuals and smooth editing. Production time went from three days to under 30 minutes, and we scaled our video marketing without adding cost.

Lucas SteinerVerifiedMunich, Germany

AI Email & Smart Inbox Management

Our inbox used to be chaos. BoldBellows built an AI email system that sorts messages, drafts replies and flags anything urgent.

It learns how we write and gets better every week. We reply faster and no longer miss important messages. It feels like having a personal assistant working around the clock.

Chloe AndersonVerifiedMelbourne, Australia

AI Booking & Scheduling Automation

Our coaching business needed a better way to schedule. BoldBellows automated all of it: bookings, reminders, cancellations and follow-ups.

No-shows fell by 60% and clients enjoy how smooth it is. It feels personal, not robotic. One of the best upgrades we’ve made.

Chapter 11 Questions

LinkedIn comments as Trello cards: what marketing teams ask

Straight answers to the questions buyers ask before committing, for this LinkedIn to Trello route.

Do I need to be there? No. You send one short brief. Then you review a finished result.Search any question
Would a LinkedIn to Trello Zapier zap do the job?

Need only Page comments that end up as tracked work? A zap handles it, but it cannot create one card per conversation, add later comments as comments on the card or stay inside Trello's request limits.

Why not a card per comment?

A conversation becomes a dozen cards, and nobody can see the original question.

How are follow-ups added?

The route finds the open card for the conversation and adds each follow-up as a card comment.

What if the card is archived?

A follow-up after archiving opens a new card that links to the old one.

Can labels be set automatically?

Yes. Rules set labels such as question, idea or lead from the words and the author.

What are Trello's limits?

300 requests per 10 seconds per key and 100 per token, which the route paces to.

Does it change LinkedIn?

No. It only reads.

Is there a LinkedIn Trello field mapping service?

Yes, and it is included in every package: the LinkedIn Trello field mapping service records where each field goes, in what form, for your approval before any build begins.

Can you automate LinkedIn data to Trello around our rules?

Yes. A custom LinkedIn workflow for Trello can follow your own rules, and a LinkedIn Trello integration consultant shapes it with you. Packages start at $415.

What if LinkedIn or Trello is updated after launch?

Each dependency is named in the handover, and a change on one side halts just the LinkedIn records involved while you are told which.
