BoldBellowsDone-for-you Wix automation

Send Wix data to Google Sheets—and know which record landed where

Your spreadsheet should show more than a new row. We connect Wix orders, forms, bookings, contacts or subscribers to a structured Google workbook, map the fields your team uses and test what happens when records repeat, fields are empty or an account disconnects.

  • Record-key controlIDs expose repeats and gaps
  • App-aware structureorders differ from booking records
  • Real event testinglive data proves the route
  • Owner-ready handoffdocumented without shared passwords

01The generic row problem

A new row can look successful and still be operationally wrong

A changed heading can break a field map, a reconnect can leave an unrecorded period, and an order update can become a second row nobody recognizes as the same order. Sound familiar?

"I can't tell if this second line is a new order or an update."

A basic connector writes every trigger into the next open row without treating Wix's own record identifier as the control point.

"Orders, forms and bookings are all crammed into one tab."

Wix Forms, Stores and Bookings expose different fields, so one catch-all column map can't reliably preserve every business object.

"Our Google account got disconnected for four days."

Events skipped during a disconnected period are not added retroactively. Nobody notices the gap until a report doesn't add up.

The real risk isn't the row itself. It's making fulfillment, staffing or follow-up decisions on a sheet nobody can prove is complete.

Same Wix site, same events. The difference is whether the record's own identifier controls what lands in the sheet.

02How it works

How our Wix Google Sheets integration works

We choose the Wix events, build a record model keyed to Wix's own identifiers, then prove the handoff with real test data before you rely on it.

Re-tested on every change STEP 1Wix events Orders, forms, bookings, contacts, subscribers STEP 2Record model Stable keys, mappedfields, dedicated tabs STEP 3Your sheet Source-specific tabs,no duplicate rows STEP 4Proven handoff Live tests, exceptioncheck, ownership notes STEP 1Wix events Orders, forms, bookings STEP 2Record model Stable keys, mapped fields STEP 3Your sheet Source tabs, no duplicates STEP 4Proven handoff Live tests, exception check Re-tested on every change
Your data moves one way: from Wix into your sheet. Nothing is written back into your site unless a separately approved custom scope requires it.

The technical bits, in plain English

  • App-specific payloads. Wix Forms, Stores, Bookings and Invoices each expose different fields, so we verify the actual payload before promising a column.
  • Same-account spreadsheets. Wix's native action can only write to a spreadsheet created by the authorized Google account, not one merely shared with it.
  • Disconnected periods. If Google authorization is removed, skipped events aren't added retroactively. We plan a deliberate backfill route where Wix exposes the records.

03Inside your workbook

What lands in your Google Sheet, and how it's kept honest

Mapped Export starts with one Wix event stream. Operations Workbook adds source-specific tabs and duplicate checks. Reconciliation System adds an exception register and a recovery path for gaps.

Mapped Wix trigger Mapped Export

One supported Wix event sends only the fields needed for the agreed Google Sheet workflow.

Owned workbook Mapped Export

The automation points to a spreadsheet created by the authorized Google account, matching Wix's own ownership rule.

Source-specific tabs Operations Workbook

Orders, forms and bookings keep different schemas instead of being forced into mismatched columns.

Duplicate check Operations Workbook

A Wix identifier is carried into the workbook so repeated records can be marked or prevented by the chosen connection route.

Exception register Reconciliation System

Incomplete, repeated or unmatched records are collected for review instead of disappearing inside the sheet.

Reconciliation route Reconciliation System

Supported Wix records can be compared against the workbook to locate and repair an agreed historical gap.

Status formulas Operations Workbook

Protected structure and exception highlighting keep daily editors out of the mapping logic.

Historical backfill Reconciliation System

One historical backfill of up to 5,000 supported records, plus a recorded handoff walkthrough.

Reconciliation System adds this view: each source's matched rate, open exceptions and the recovery route for any gap Wix exposes through its API.

04Who it's for

Built for Wix teams who stopped trusting the export

Store operations managers, appointment-based businesses, lead-generation teams and finance assistants who need Wix data in a sheet they can actually rely on.

Wix store operations manager

"I cannot tell whether this second line is a new order or an update." Order IDs become visible control keys, so the workbook distinguishes new business from a repeated event.

Appointment-based business owner

"My team needs booking details, but I don't want everyone in the Wix dashboard." Selected booking fields reach a shared tab without site-dashboard access.

Lead-generation coordinator

"Every form has different questions, and our master sheet is becoming impossible to sort." Each form's fields map into a stable intake structure.

Finance or fulfillment assistant

"I spend the first hour of every morning exporting Wix records and cleaning dates." The automation writes agreed records, so review replaces rebuilding.

05Compare

Manual export vs generic Zapier row vs BoldBellows

A one-step Zap is reasonable for one trigger appended to one tab. This build becomes useful once you need source-specific schemas, record-ID checks, exception handling and a tested handoff.

The shared-spreadsheet trap

A spreadsheet merely shared with the authorized Google account won't appear in Wix's selector. We create or copy the workbook under the connected account so nothing gets stuck.

The silent disconnect

If Google authorization is removed, skipped events aren't replayed automatically. We plan a backfill route and a documented recovery step from day one.

Choose your packageRequired

The three packages differ by how many Wix event streams feed the workbook and how much control you get over duplicates and gaps.

One Wix event stream mapped into a clean, owned Google Sheet with a tested live run.

  • One Wix source event: orders, forms, bookings, contacts or subscribers
  • One Google spreadsheet and one destination tab
  • Up to 12 mapped Wix fields
  • Clear column headings, date formatting and frozen header row
  • One filter or routing condition
  • Live test, handoff notes and 3 free revisions

Multiple Wix event streams organized into an operating workbook instead of a flat export.

  • Everything in Mapped Export
  • Up to three Wix source events
  • Up to four purpose-built spreadsheet tabs
  • Up to 30 mapped fields across the workbook
  • Wix record-ID column and duplicate-check logic
  • Status formulas, protected structure and exception highlighting

A higher-control workbook with record matching, gap detection and a practical recovery route.

  • Everything in Operations Workbook
  • Up to six Wix source events
  • Up to eight operational and reporting tabs
  • ID-keyed find-or-update logic where the selected route supports it
  • Reconciliation view for missing, duplicated or incomplete records
  • One historical backfill of up to 5,000 supported records, plus recorded handoff walkthrough

More than 10,000 monthly events, several Wix sites, two-way CMS updates, a warehouse-scale workbook or a destination beyond Google Sheets. Tell us the real scope and we will price it for your build.

What's your monthly event volume?Required

Higher volume needs batching and load choices a small store doesn't.

Which connection route fits?Required

A more capable route unlocks filters, branching and lookups the native action can't do alone.

How should the workbook be structured?Required

A more built-out structure helps once more than one Wix event type feeds the same workbook.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Optional extrasOptional

Each one begins switched off. Turn on what your workbook needs, watch the total, switch it back off.

06The process

From scope call to a workbook that runs unattended, in five steps

Mapped Export takes about 2 to 3 working days, Operations Workbook about 4 to 6, and Reconciliation System about 6 to 9. Need it sooner? Choose a faster turnaround in the pricing section.

Your handover notes The trigger list, named The field map, column by column Who owns reconnection The recovery steps, if it stops Plain English, no jargon Record map order → Orders tab form → Forms tab booking → Bookings tab contact → Contacts tab Owner: ops@yoursite Recovery: documented Ready for handoff
  1. Scope call

We identify the Wix apps, event types, monthly volume, spreadsheet users and decisions the sheet must support.

  2. Field inventory

You approve the exact Wix fields, record keys, required columns and handling for empty or repeated values.

  3. Workbook build

We create the agreed tabs, formatting, protection, formulas and exception areas before wiring the live connection.

  4. Connection and tests

You authorize the accounts, then we run successful, repeated and incomplete record cases through the workflow.

  5. Running unattended

We activate the finished automation, transfer the notes and confirm who owns reconnection and exception review.

What we need from you: about 10 minutes

  • Collaborator access to the relevant Wix site, or a supervised setup session.
  • An owner-created Google spreadsheet in the account that will retain the workflow.
  • The Wix apps and events to synchronize, with representative records available for testing.

07Security and ownership

Your data stays safe. The workbook stays yours.

We never need your password, and we do not edit products, prices or orders unless a separately approved custom scope requires those permissions.

OAuth connection

Wix, Google and supported automation platforms are authorized through their own account-consent screens, not by sending us passwords.

Least practical access

We request only the site role, spreadsheet access and workflow permissions needed for the approved event route.

Your workbook

The production spreadsheet is created and retained in the Google account you designate for ownership.

Revocable authorization

You can remove Wix's Google permissions. The connected workflow stops, and skipped events don't replay by themselves.

Protected structure

Formula and reference areas can be protected so daily editors work in intended fields without breaking the mapping.

Documented handoff

You receive the trigger list, field map, connection owner and recovery steps needed to maintain the system.

09FAQ

Wix to Google Sheets questions, answered

Still unsure? We reply in plain English.

Can Wix send data directly to Google Sheets?

Yes. Wix Automations includes an Update Google Sheets action for supported triggers. You connect a Google account, select a spreadsheet and tab, then map trigger data to the sheet's named columns.

Which Wix records can be sent?

The available fields depend on the Wix app and trigger. Common routes include store orders, form submissions, bookings, invoices, contacts and subscriber-related events, but we verify the actual payload before promising a column.

Why not just build this with Zapier myself?

A one-step Zap is reasonable when all you need is one trigger appended to one tab. The paid build becomes useful when you need source-specific schemas, field transformation, record-ID checks, conditional routing, exception handling, backfill planning and a tested owner handoff; some of those Zapier features also require a paid Zapier plan.

Is there a recurring BoldBellows fee?

No. The quoted price is for the one-off build and handoff. Wix, Google Workspace, Zapier, Make or another platform may charge its own subscription or task fees depending on the route and volume you select.

Can I use a Google Sheet someone else shared with me?

Not with Wix's native selection flow if the authorized Google account did not create that spreadsheet. The usual fix is to copy or create the production workbook under the connected owner account, then share the finished sheet with collaborators.

What happens if I rename a column?

Wix's field mapping depends on the spreadsheet headings. If headings change, the automation must refresh the sheet data and remap the affected fields; the handoff notes identify protected headings and the safe change procedure.

What happens if Wix or Google changes something?

We document the trigger, action, field map and owner so the affected point can be retested quickly. Platform changes or newly required mappings after handoff are outside the original one-off build, but BoldBellows can repair or revise the workflow under a small fixed quote.
